Biography

Anamaria Ștefan is a Romanian pianist and piano teacher based in the Netherlands. She studied at the “Gh. Dima” Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca with prof. univ. dr. Adriana Bera (Master’s), then continued piano with Stéphane de May and chamber music with Bart van de Roer at Codarts University of the Arts, Rotterdam.

Her playing is marked by warmth, refinement, and a deep sensitivity to sound color and musical communication. She participated in festivals and masterclasses with Emanuel Ax, Rudolf Jansen, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Roy Howat, Cordelia Hofer, Mihaela Ursuleasa, Bruce Brubacker, Massimiliano Valenti, and Gabriel Amiras.

Artist & Educator

Alongside her conservatory training, Anamaria pursued music education at Fontys (Tilburg) and the Royal Conservatoire (The Hague). She performed as soloist with several orchestras in Romania and gave recitals in Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Switzerland. She has been active in chamber ensembles and worked as accompanist for choirs and eurythmy classes.

As a teacher, she works with children (6+) and adults, combining a solid technical basis with musicality, expression, and joy in playing — encouraging each student’s personal and artistic growth.
